Join Park Watch
Mahalo Nui for your Kokua! Park Watch is EVERYONE's kuleana (responsibility). Join other involved citizens today in making our parks safe for everyone!!
Park Watch is an effective crime prevention program thanks to the participation and enthusiasm of citizens just like you. It requires no membership. By being a park user, you are already a part of the Park Watch team when you help keep a watchful eye on the parks you frequent and report problems whenever necessary. We all care and want to keep Maui County parks safe for everyone.
Park users are cognizant of the activities and normal functions within their local park facilities and serve as additional 'eyes and ears' for both the Parks Department and the Maui Police Department. Similar to the nation-wide Neighborhood Crime Watch, if something does not seem right, or if they see or hear anything wrong, these responsible citizens will call the police.
The Park Watch Program has been launched in South and Central Maui already. It will soon spread to the rest of the island. At any time, in any park, please call 244-6400 for police dispatch, 911 in an emergency, or click on the Reporting Form link in the navigation bar on the left to fill out an online reporting form which will be forwarded to the Police and/or Parks department.

Please be sure to mention Park Watch-- 100% of your contribution will be used for the Park Watch program.
It has been proven that a Park Watch Program can save countless tax dollars in repairs and replacement of vandalized park property. For a complete program, there is need not only for citizens reporting suspicious activities but also for funding of the educational program. Signage, macot visits to schools and youth recreational sites, program giveaways to remind people of Park Watch (like pencils, magnets, stickers, and coloring books) are all costly. The goal will be to develop a complete educational program that helps teach children the value of being responsible park patrons..
Businesses and individuals alike often heartily support a Park Watch program financially, but they have a right to know that the contribution is managed appropriately. Tri-Isle Resource Conservation and Development Council, Inc, a 501(c)3 corporation, has agreed to manage all private contributions to the Maui Park Watch Program.
